Design process

old building transforming to a trade center

Unlike other architectural projects which were designed by Mesh Architecture Office, this time, the client did not demand the office to design the Pardisan Commercial Complex from the initial stage of the design process.

Unfortunately, after the installation of a building structure and finishing the inside walls, this project was not welcomed by the customers with open arms. (In fact, it is in sharp contrast to other commercial complexes that owners finance a large amount of money needed for the projects by pre-selling the stores.

The client referred to the Mesh Architecture Office. Consequently, the demand was mentioned directly. Needless to say, it was the sale of commercial stores! In order to meet the client’s requirements, the design team leader placed a high priority on the front side of the building.the design process was started scrupulously according to these fundamental criteria:

  • The existing structural constraints
  • The sense of inviting people to building
  • The process of attracting people During the construction of the first phase of design, about half of the stores located at the north side of a building were sold.

On the following steps, the other phases were carried out respectively.

“That was a new experience, of course!”
